When you contact me
Email, call, and text links open your chosen application. This website does not contain an inquiry form, collect form drafts, or confirm that a message was sent. When you choose to contact me, I receive the contact details and information you share and use them to respond, discuss your project, and manage our working relationship. Email, telephone, and messaging providers process those communications under their own terms.
Cookie-free website analytics
The website sends a small request to its own hosting service to count page views and clicks on gallery, contact, and related-project links. The request contains only a fixed event label, one of this site’s public page paths, a broad screen-size category (mobile, tablet, or desktop), and a referral category such as Google, the Nick Sosa hub, direct, or other. Unrecognized referring sites are grouped as “other”; their addresses are not retained.
Counts are combined by day in the America/Chicago time zone in a private Cloudflare D1 database. We do not store individual event histories, raw IP addresses, visitor identifiers, names, email addresses, full referring URLs, query strings, message contents, or precise locations in that database. No analytics cookies, fingerprinting, advertising pixels, Google Analytics, or cross-site visitor profiles are used. Page views are not a count of unique people, and a contact click does not mean a message was received.
Your analytics choice
These aggregate counts are on by default. You can turn them off using “Analytics preferences” in the footer. We also stop analytics when your browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. No initial consent banner blocks the page.
If you change your preference, the site stores only an on/off setting in this browser’s local storage—not a visitor ID. It remains until you change it or clear site data. Clearing site data resets this choice to the default; a browser privacy signal still takes precedence. If local storage is unavailable, a changed choice applies only to the current page. Turning analytics off stops future counts from this browser; it cannot identify and remove your contribution from aggregate totals.
Hosting and security
Cloudflare delivers the site and processes network information, including your IP address and browser request headers, to serve pages and protect the service. A short-lived Cloudflare rate limiter uses the network address to limit excessive analytics requests; our analytics database does not retain it. Hosting and network information is subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy. A blocked analytics request never prevents viewing photographs or using contact links.
Retention and linked galleries
Aggregate counts are deleted on a daily schedule after 180 days. Email and other correspondence may be kept as needed for the inquiry, client relationship, or applicable recordkeeping obligations. This site does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.
The full gallery at photos.nicksosa.tech and other linked sites are separate services. Their features and data practices may differ. Original photographs in the gallery may include camera and location metadata; this notice describes the business landing page, not every linked gallery or image.
